Need advice on panasonic plasma 42 TH-P42x30

Hi All!

I'm planning to buy panasonic 42inch plasma model TH-P42X30. It has got amazing picture quality as when I watched it in showroom. Please provide your reviews on this. I'm planning to have this for next 6-10years min. I'm satisfied with the features and specs. \

I need your advice on should I expect the TV to survive for long time?

I am not sure if 6-10 year credibility can be given to any television these days.
But pana is giving 3 yrs warranty while others are giving 1 yr warranty.

I have this model and I am very satisfied with the picture quality.

Thank you very much. I will finalise this. What about the IR issue? ghost issue?

There may be faint/minor ghost on still parts of the video (for eg: channel logo) when you switch off - this depends on how long you were watching the same program before switching off. You can see the ghost usually in a dark room. If you have light on, the ghost is rarely visible.

What you can do is before switching off, switch to TV mode with black and white dots, keep it in that mode for about 10 seconds then switch off. The IR/ghost will disappear.

This model also has a pixel orbiter.
