Hi,

I am looking for a good stereo Amp to use along with a digital preamp. For this I am planning to build an Amp using a class D 125ASX2 Bang & Olufsen ICE Power Module. In stereo mode it gives 65wpc at 8 ohm load and 125 wpc @ 4 ohm load. I think this output is adequate for my usage. This amp module is used in many high end brands like Rotel, Jeff Roland , Bel Canto, B&W Classe in stereos as well as monoblocks. I currently use a 50ASX2 based integrated digital amp, but its output is 22wpc @8 ohm load and 47 wpc @ 4 ohm load and looking for little more power.

Whole idea is to connect it with my newly purchased 42" Sony smart TV and have a good living room stereo cum TV audio. Since i wd be using lot of digital stuff, I am planning to go for a digital Preamp. Thinking of a Emotiva XDA-2 Digital Preamp cum USB DAC.

XDA-2 USB DAC/Digital Preamp/Headphone Amp | Emotiva Audio Corporation | Emotiva Audio | High-end audio components for audiophiles and videophiles, spanning 2-channel music systems, as well as 5.1 and 7.1 home theaters. Products include multichannel

I will be connecting this amplifier with my KEF Q300 speakers.

What do you think of my set up ? Do any of you have experience of using this amp module ? is Hypex Class D any better than this B&O amps? Let me know your views on this set up. Earlier i planned to take the AVR route.... but i feel a good 2.0 or 2.1 is better than budget / mid range 5.1 home theater set up. My Kanto amp with 50ASX2 and KEF speakers give me better feel than many 5.1 set-ups i had heard or experienced.

Also is the Preamp I am considering a good one ? does it have a good DAC processing capabilites? any users in this forum who could share their feedback and experience?

Thank you very much in advance.
