New Sony 65X80J - flickering and ghosting

Hi All.

Just moved into a new apartment, and have bought 2 TVs.

A Sony 65X90K - for the living room

A Sony 65X80J - for the bedroom

The X90K is working perfectly. Am very impressed by it.

The X80J is suddenly showing very bad flickering and ghosting (this is 1 - 2 days after installation).
I have raised a service ticket with Sony and am waiting for a technician to visit.

Meanwhile, have tried everything I could think of (to no avail) :
- Unplug and plug back
- TV self diagnostic
- Disconnected my amp

Cant think of anything else.

Any suggestions ?

Looks like an issue with the panel, they might need to replace it.

I had similar issue with my Samsung TV in the past .. the issue was with the display board, After replacing it worked fine.
Mine was almost 8 years old TV , Since your TV is new .. problem may not be the same.

They will replace the panel most likely. Dont worry. Its a Sony.

As you have raised a ticket, I'd not meddle with the TV. This is Sony's problem to sort. Their technicians are usually the competent variety but could vary depending on region.

You have a warranty so no cause for concern.
