This is my first attempt at speaker building, I had a couple of MTX thunder components installed in my car, and after 6 years of usage the tweeters have given up, they were soft silk dome tweeters and i think the ferromagnetic fluid dried up, anyhow with respect to car audio, i have gone active, so i don't need to use these anymore, i managed to pull up the specs, which are as follows
Power handling:50w rms
Frequency range:55hz-20khz +/- 3db
Sensitivity:86db
Crossover Point:4Khz
Impedance:4ohm
i do have the crossovers and they are in good condition,
the enclosures will be made of wood, front baffle will probably be made of mdf
now my questions are as follows:->
-how do i model the enclosure i.e the size, since i do not have any specs, on compliance volume
-the soft dome tweeter should be of the same sensitivity/impedance and should have a relatively flat response from 4khz-20khz? i am planning to order from diyaudiocart, so any guidance is appreciated
-any other pointers or suggestions are more than welcome
