dear friends greetings

i am newbee to hi fi computer audio world. I have encountered few problems
[1] i have installed asus xonar essence stx card .Computer shows card installed , i can play back with 2 rca points at card , but co axial and optical and head phone connections are not working .Funniest thing is when i connect co axial or optical cable to marantz cd 8004 ,marantz recognizes individual connections as 44,1 khz,but no sound out put
[2] my computer[windows 7] donot have usb audio output .For usb input into dac how can i connect my pc to usb dac , can you please tell me cables or adapters required

dear friends greetings

i found answer in hardware cannucks

solution was open asus audio centre

set audio channels at 6 channels

sample rate at 44.1khz

spdif out at dolby digital live and it started working

even optical input to marantz 8004 is recognised and sq is better than direct connection
