Hi, I am looking for a TV for my parents. I have basically narrowed it down to these two sets of choices:
  1. TCL 55C715 v. OnePlus 55U1
  2. iFFALCON 65K3A v. Mi TV 4X (65")
My requirements/concerns in descending order are:
  1. Price - Hard limit of not more than 55k.
  2. Durability - We are upgrading from a ~15 year old Panasonic CRT. While we did use a projector connected to DTH for a bit (don't ask how we managed in daylight conditions, we just did), this is the first real upgrade in these many years. We can safely assume that we won't upgrade for another 5-7 years at the very least.
  3. Size - While bigger is better, I would rather get better PQ over a larger screen for the same price. This sentiment also explains the two sets of choices as I'm unable to arrive at a final decision on this question (after a lot of browsing on this forum) - am I really getting better PQ for the extra price or should I just go for the larger screen at this budget?
As for viewing conditions, TV will be placed in the hall with daylight entering the room. Recommendations for other models that I might have missed are welcome!

Thanks!

Determine the size first based on the viewing distance and content resolution (SD/HD from cable/DTH, OTT etc) and then go for best within budget. You may also consider Samsung R7200/R7470 (2019) or the latest T7200.

Since it is for parents, who may not understand & appreciate features, go for the biggest screen in your budget.. Android TV interface has become standard for TV these days.. You may also also consider VU, should be in your budget.. Xiaomi & TCL are HDR 10+ capable..

Even at the common 10ft or less viewing distance, a 65inch should be pretty comfortable..

Xiaomi 65 inches is just within your budget.. Also try to get extended warranty from Flipkart during check out.. So you are covered for 3 yrs..
