Today I downgraded my ps3 firmware from 3.5 to 3.41. And successfully jailbroken it using my iphone 3g :yahoo:

Whatch the following video, this is what i have done to downgrade. But i have used bootlace to install android on my iPhone which is very simple and easy to do.

Use the iFunBox to copy the psfreadom files to the /var/iboot folder.

Get E3 downgrader if you want to downgrade with only a drag and drop like interface.

^^ i woudnt trust the offical 3.41 at this time.. who knows wht they have changed.. , to get 3.41 , do a google and get from a JB site...

just wait for sometime , as there are WIP for CFW ...google is ur best friend guys...

Latest news about the jailbreak is that Geohot is ripping ps3 security apart. They have the home brew and the signing tool working. Soon they will release the 3.55 backup manager. So you can play all games available currently, after updating to the custom firmware 3.55.

Main benefit is that you can play backup games. Jailbreak is not available for versions higher than 3.55.
