I plan to make an MDF base for my almost completed MTM speakers to angle them upwards by around 4 degrees and am looking at something similar to Item No 4(conical) and 5( inverted taper) in this link:

McMaster-Carr

I prefer a rubber to metal threaded insert to avoid scratches on my floors. I know that I can use metal spikes with a loose disc to avoid scratches.

Any ideas about where I can find something that might meet my needs?

TIA

How about using door stoppers :p

Another option..

Visit these stores that sell cheap stoves. These stoves usually have a 1 to 2 inch rubber base which attaches to the frame via a screw.
This should do the trick.
a 4 degree angle should be possible with a 1 to 1.5 inch rubber stopper.
These sort of shops also service and have spare parts

Getting a conical rubber base would be a little difficult.

You can also check at automobile spare parts shop. There are lot many varieties of rubber bushes, O-rings and gaskets available there.

Thanks,
Bibin
