Repeat of my post under vintage amplifier as I did not get a reply, hoping that the DIY guys could be of more help
Any fans of cosmic amplifiers on the forum who could help me out with technical details of the original potentiometers used in various cosmic models and online sources to buy them?
My local repair tech does resurrect my amplifiers but the pots he uses does not last very long. Either they develop static or start misbehaving needing frequent replacement.
What I would like to do is to stock up on good equivalent ones and ration it out to him.
This is one site that I've come across is http://www.elcon.co.in/ which shows a large range.
Since all the pots have been replaced over time I no longer know if the values on them are the ones that were meant to be originally as the amps don't sound the same after repairs.
I would be grateful if someone knowledgeable points me to the ones to buy
