hello friends,

decided to setup stereo sound room acoustics for my bed room..
room size is 10ft * 10ft.. including 2 windows(3*4) 2 doors (3*6)

not for HT 5.1 set up.. for bookshelf speakers(q acoustics 2020i) with stereo amp.(marantz pm6005)

for ceiling i will go with mineral fibre board false ceiling..

and for side walls and bass trap , after reading some articles , will go with DIY glass wool or rock wool covered with clothes..

but some people says, glass wool is not good for health especially in bed room.. but i dont know about its harmness or something.. same applied to rock wool..

both the options are cheap when compared with some other tiles or materials..

any ideas FM friends?

Why not go with Dacron instead? Commonly used in pillows. Safe as it gets I'd imagine. Served its intended purpose in my speakers quite admirably.

As far as i know there are no safety hazards using glass wool, except bit of skin irritation while handling it.
Second option is to have a thin layer of Cotton wadding or Dacron on top of glass wool and cover it with a breathable fabric.
