The sound quality is great but not mind-blowing

I felt a lack of "punch", though clarity and separation are amazing. This should be a good source for an Amp in any case

I'm using Etymotic ER6i and Grado SR60s

Have also tried Fiio E5, but found no improvement in SQ, i.e. quality is already too good to be improved by the likes of Fiio E5

Well said. How good is the battery? Is it decent for audio playback?

The rated life is 10 Hrs, I have never had the battery run out on me, since I can always find a mini-usb cable somewhere. So, don't know the exact playback time.

The battery life is less because of the dual DAC config, more chips inside need more power.

Audio quality is brilliant, improves the soundstage of the ER6i a LOT. Like Kaushik said, it's a decent replacement for an entry level DAC.


Video quality is awesome too, plus you get a dedicated e-book reader
