Samsung series 3 does not play hd

I have Samsung 32" series 3 HD ready TV.
Whenever I tried to connect to HD source i.e. HDMI out from DVD playe OR from Laptop no picture / audio.
Getting message on TV screen "No signals"

Same I tried on other TVs with same cable, working fine.

Any solution for this?

What is the TV model ? Do you mean to say when you connect to another TV of same model there is not issue ?

I always thought they made series 4 and above..
Is it HD compatible in the first place?

Series 3 was before series 4

YEs it is 4 year old and it is HD ready not Full HD. So for 720 pixels is resolution

Check whether your TV can accept Full Input in the specification sheet. The Tv actually needs to downsample the FUll HD data to 720P.

I talked to Samsung engineer about this issue. He said series 3 HD ready use old HD technolgy. So I nned to use HDMI cable 1.2. After using different cable now I am getting picture. But no audio now.

Any help on this

Try connecting different HDMI port if any. else you can alternatively connect audio RCA (red and white) addition to HDMI directly from DVD player to computer speaker via 3.5 stereo jack. Tv's speaker anyway wont sound that great.
