Hi Mates,
Pls ignore my previous thread since I am not able to edit the title.
I have a Harman/Kardon HK6500 stereo amplifier. It must be about 20 years old. With aging the turn-on delay time for the amplifier is increased i.e. when I switch on the amplifier it takes around 1.5 minutes to turn on. My suspicion is that it might be because of the capacitors taking time to get charged.
However, the sound quality is second to none. Please advise me as to what needs to be done to reduce the delay. If reducing the delay will affect the sound quality then I am ready to bear with the delay (Hope the delay will not cause problems to the other parts of the amplifier). It's the sweetest sounding amplifier that I have come across and would not like to tinker with the sound quality.
