Sony BDP185 and 1100 are they region free for DVD?

Do these players from sony play all DVD regions from 1-5, it should be locked to region C for blue ray though. Thanks for your help in advance

Indian version of Sony BD players are many times region free for DVDs from factory, and strangely sometimes not. So please try with a different region DVD and if it works fine. Otherwise also there is a good news that all Sony BD players can be made region free for DVDs by using a URC with a magic button (costs Rs 700/- onwards).
