Hi all

This is my first post on Hifi. I have been reading several threads for a few days. you guys are doing a great job!

here's my question
I need a tv for my second home, which I may only visit for 8-10 days a month
Given what I have read about how it is necessary to 'break-in' a plasma tv, and the fact that I may not be using the tv everyday, I wanted to know if it is ok to get a plasma

I'm considering between the two deals at the moment

1. Sony lcd 32 inches bravia 420 for approx 30,000
2. Panasonic led 39 inches for approx 40,000

the price difference is significant for me
should I consider a plasma instead?
95% use normal tv channels
5% DVD movies

Thanks in advance!

Karan

if you can take care plasma..go for it for less price and better picture.
means no static image.
or go for toshiba lcds at 40k...
and about size go for 40 inch.no 32 inch.you will feel you made a mistake after 6 months...

you can get sony, samsung 40 inch LED for 35k in grey markets, if you want warranty then you can get toshiba or even that panasonic 39inch for around 40k .

For the use you have stated, you should consider a 32" HD-ready LCD TV not costing more than 25k. Anything else is an overkill.
