It's a good player no doubt but there's more to it than just the build quality or sound quality !
First off,Today most of the folks are going digital via DAC ! So I suggest in the same range look for a DAC and try to take that route
Next even though the player itself is built like a tank,the Lens unfortunately is the most susceptible part to fail first and you'll have a very tough time finding a replacement Lens for these ES series players.
Also any issue with the player hardware wise is tough to get fixed as most of the components used are now obsolete.
So that's my 2Cents.............
