BUYING, SELLING or TRADING indicates your automatic and mandatory acceptance of HiFiVISION.COM Trading Rules and Guidelines!

Do not blindly trust every seller or buyer! Protect yourself by following the below safe trading tips.

Safety Tips

For Buyers

  1. Always meet the seller at a safe location and inspect the item before purchasing. Following this one rule will help you avoid most scams.
  2. Watch out for unrealistic offers. If it appears too good to be true, it probably is. Unrealistic offers are used to motivate purchasers to make hasty decisions.
  3. Always verify the seller's credentials. Ask the seller to provide a photo ID and proof of address.
  4. Ensure that the product you are buying is not stolen or fake. Always ask for a purchase invoice.
  5. The best way to transact is to collect the item and pay at the same time. Never transfer funds or use a debit/credit/atm card to pay someone you do not know before collecting an item.
  6. Ask for clear information on condition of the item, price, payment and delivery method.
  7. Use only those payment methods that you trust and are familiar with. Never give out your financial information.
  8. It is recommended to purchase items directly from the seller.
  9. Always test the functioning of the item before purchase.
  10. Do your research on comparative prices for the product.

For Sellers

  1. Try to take the full payment at the time of the delivery. Remember to use a safe location to meet.
  2. Watch out for fake currency and money orders. Be aware that banks will not honour fake currency/money order and will hold you responsible for it.
  3. Verify the buyer’s credentials if necessary.
  4. Ensure that your product meets the features you list in your ad to avoid any misunderstanding with the buyer.
  5. It is your responsibility to prove that the product you are selling is genuine and not stolen by providing the necessary proof of purchase.
  6. Do not share your financial information except the one required for payment.

Here we go again srini, all the very best for your sale
I use the Marantz CD63SE and can bravely say that it is a fantastic Audio CD player. Can put a lot of the more modern and expensive ones, to shame. This one comes with a new laser transport as well (which costs about Rs.1000 and has to be imported)
I use the NAD 106, NAD 216thx combine with my CD63SE and I think the combo sounds great. The CD63SE with the NAD 320 sounds a bit bright though!!
Btw, if you are game for it, that dent on the amp enclosure can be easily fixed. All you need to do is get someone to tap it flat for you (best bet would be to get it to an automobile workshop where body work is done)

Thanks Reubensm,

You are right. I bought the same hearing great reviews all over as viral hits in the net and forums. As everybody here knows from the beginning I was an pure movie freak and thought to enter stereo very lately. Hence decided to go with proven/sturdy/no-nonsense equipment. Hence ventured into used and proven combo's like NAD/Marantz/MA-BR2.

Now that i confidently can stay in stereo league for more year to come, changed my combo's on experimental basis in the last few months and recently trying to enter into next big league.

Regards

......... with a hammer, by thunder! :p:lol:

Itz going to rain here today, so your "thunderous" idea will work out:p:p

By the way no need of going to workshop, i can do it with a slight push pull or by removing the grill. Indeed i want to pass it to somebody with sweet memories created by our Courier guys.:p and also do not want to open it for this purpose.

Hi Srini,
Thanks for the nice intro, and the good looking Ace cables!

Also, that was just the push i needed to step out of the passive member list.

My set up is:
MUSIC:
Yamaha A-S500 amp, Pioneer DVD player routed through a Maverick Audio DAC, KEF Q500 FS, KEF Q400b subwoofer, with stinger, audioquest and MX interconnects (now Ace cable). (Desperately looking for CD6004)
.RS180 for personal listening.

MOVIES:
Marantz Rs4300 with Bose jewel cubes.

Thanks once again.

Thanks Sreekanth,

Be careful with those lockable IC.

Already you have some nice basic setup and please jump into some big league, do not once again go in small way(including Marantz 6004), since you keep upgrading later.

Regards

Free bump with a useless message :)

Strictly speaking, superimposing the photo with the HFV handle/ date using paint software is not a valid replacement for the placard which is to be written and photographed along with the item put up for sale. Reason is simple. The placard is the proof that you are really having possession of the item at the time of sale.

This is to protect the prospective buyers of the forum from fraudulent members (if there are any). Anyone can download a photo from the net, tag it with user id, gobble up the buyer's money and run away from the forum without owning or selling anything. :D Ofcourse, I do not think anyone here is at a risk of dealing with such a person on HFV.
