Strange problem with my 50VT20 when connected through Onkyo 808

Hi All,

I am facing one strange problem...and need help..

Problem - TV doesnt display video nor the sound is coming through my speakers when the TV is connected through my Onkyo 808AVR.....Till today morning it was working fine but my kid has changed some settings in my absence....Have tried everything but m not able to rectify the same.....after checking everything, now whenever i on the receiver the video & audio comes for few seconds and than again goes off.

I have also changed the HDMI cable...but still the problem is not solved...

Yes it is working fine, when STB is connected directly to TV

Realized today that the problem is with my AVR .....in radio mode also the osd is not present moreover I am able to listen fm only in pureaudio and direct mode ....in other mode sound is not coming ...

Hence I am posting my query in amplifier section...

Still, I will need expert advice to get this problem resolved ... Does Any onkyo owner have faced similar issue ... Pls share ur views....

You need to get into Onkyo setup and set the Monitor out to HDMI. Same with OSD to HDMI. You will also need to try turning off Audio return channel. That should make the sound come through speakers connected to Onkyo.

Post the settings in the Onkyo video section, that will give more idea.

Can you do a factory reset. In denon we have this option.
