I need to connect a subwoofer and my house is prewired with all cables but no subwoofer cable. I have a internet wire running and wanted to know if it is possible to solder rca plugs at each end and use it as a subwoofer cable as it is not possible to run a cable. Will it be fine if i use this?????? Thanks

The twisted wires still have too much capacitance I believe. Better buy a sub cable.

I am offering an unconventional solution. You may or may not like it, but here goes.

Use a wireless transmitter/receiver pair. I am pretty sure it will be cheaper and more elegant than any run long of any decent RCA cable.

Electrically you can CERTAINLY use the Ethernet cable to carry signal low level signal to yr Sub.

The only concern you will have to check for is whether there is a Hum pick up by the Ethernet cable since its not shielded. You will know only by trial.

The Ethernet cable has 4 Pairs of wires in it. You can use any 1 pair.

All The Best !
