Hi All,

I searched on this quite a bit but didn't find anything. Please share your views.

The 1 HP motor in our building has gone under the knife many times over the last couple of years and everytime the electrician's explanations point to the same thing - wide fluctuations in voltage. So... Do voltage stabilizers exist for domestic water pumps?

Regards,
Uday

1HP == 750 Watt.. ... so you can probably use a Airconditioner's stab.. Typical Aircon uses about 1.5KW to 2KW so it may suffice ...

Thanks.. any idea how much will the initial power draw be? I heard startup power for water pump is far greater than AC startup current, not sure if it's true. So will AC stab provide that much current is the point that's holding me back.
