Friends,

Although we listen thousands of songs in life in various music genre like Classical, folk, rock, jazz, metal,Blue, western folk, melodies. There is a soft corner or a specific attraction towards the genre MELODY.

I would like to listen to melody most though interested in all category of music.

I request you all to share the "Songs which strikes when we say melody",as you would post only the songs which impacted you much.I would like to listen more melodies ,which i haven't heard before and store them in my Personal list.

"Its just a exploring of tracks from various languages and lands" which landed in our hearts as FOOT PRINTS for ever

Thanks for sharing friends

For me Melody means songs from the 1940s and 1950s. Too many songs come to mind. Putting them up would mean me spending days typing.
Songs of the period are full of melody.

Some songs that "I" find "melodious". I usually listen to these in night time..

(Most tracks from 1942 love story) - RD Burman
"Kuch Na Kaho"
"Pyar Hua Chupkese"
"Rooth Na Jana Tumse Kahun Toh"

"Waadiyaan Mera Daaman"
"Kora Kaagaz tha yeh dil mera" - I love the starting melody tune..
"Khamosh Raat" - Roop Kumar Rathore
"Khoya Koya Chand"
"Ajeeb dasatan hai yeh kaha shuru kaha khatam"

many more :)

I rediscovered this lovely album couple days back.. first 2 songs have very sweet male and female vocals they complement each other very well with nice melody. You must try listening to these two tracks.

Kareeb (1998)
1. Choori Chori
2. Churao Na dil mera

Seal - Kiss from a rose
MJ - Stranger in moscow
Kadal - Chithirai Nila
Kizhakku Cheemayile - Aathangara Marame
Geeta - Geeta
Kai po che - Manja
Billu - Khudaya Khair
Cafe Americaine - L'amour
Delhi 6 - Masakali
Pallavi anupallavi - Nayana naguva

Izhaya Nila... and Pani Vizhum... Both Tamil Songs which I rate very high in terms of melody (grew up listening to these).
Also numerous Abba, Bee Gees and Carpenters songs I rate as ABC of melody.
