yamaha yht 2910 or Harman Kardon - thoughts?

Hello,

I would like to know thoughts on Yamaha 2910 HTIB and Harman Kardon (Harman Kardon AVR 1710 + Harman Kardon HKTS 16BQ)

I demoed Yamaha 2910 package, the bass was very disappointing. However, the overall surround sound effect was quite good.

I am getting Harman Kardon Receiver and speaker system on amazon(Harman Kardon AVR 1710 + Harman Kardon HKTS 16BQ), however, I am not sure about the sound(bass+surround effect) from above combination.
