I'm planning to build a speaker setup. I'm new to audio world. At first, i thought of buying a 5.1 sound bar setup but listening to sound demo from nearby stores, i dropped that idea. After reading reviews, for my 150sq.ft room, it seems 2.0 setup is good. I don't know which one to pick. No one tells what's good company. Can anyone help me find a good pair. I'm open for preloved ones, but i don't have any big stores in my town to sound test them. So, i just have to buy from online. And most confusing part is amplifiers. Many reviewers said, if I don't pair with some high price amplifier, speakers gonna sound sh*t. Please help me find amplifier also that pair well with speakers. Thanks!

Under 40k u have some good quality speaker and amp from Norge audio. many forum members use that.. recently norge extend their price a little. also u have option to buy fosi audio class d amp with a bookshelf from Micca speaker or pure acoustic bookshelf buy edifier active speaker which is good..
In diy website you get some good qulaity dayton speaker under 15 to 20k pair with fosi or norge amp for starting..

You can get Qacoustics, mission, fyne, elac speakers from Hifimart after talking to them and a class D fosi amp or norge amplifier for a little over 40k. THis will sound good.

Hello, you may either get an amp and speakers or a pair of powered speaker. As an FM has already recommended you can get Edifier speakers which are available on Amazon. I would wait and get a preowned marantz pm series amp and wharefedal diamond or QAcoustic speakers( again preowned ) and start my journey. Norge is also a very good amp . However, you didn't mention your source( TT, CDP, streamer) . I think while choosing amp please also consider about the amp's capability to stream music . Because thesedays most of us listen to music stored on our mobile or use spotify ,YT etc. If you buy powered speakers then you should not bother over the streaming capability as those have bluetooth or wifi connectivity. As a thumb rule get your speakers first then choose the amp according to the demand of the speakers. Keep patience and visit the classified section in our forum. Hope you will get your system soon.
Happy audiophile journey

Source, DAC, Amp, Speaker. May please start with the best possible speaker and VFM amp. Source and DAC can come later.

Elac Debut 6.3 or M3020 or Wharfedale 12.1 can be considered for speaker : to be powered by Fosi Amp.

Just to add what other FMs have already said, powered speaker is the best bet in the budget you have specified. You can also opt for Gemini Sound AS-2115P and add a tube Pre-amplifier-cum-Dac to it. It has a 15inch woofer which will provide you with warm sound. Also has Bass, Treble adjust for you to tune the sound as per your liking. Future servicing won't be an issue. Add Fosi Audio P3 preamplifier which will also help you have tube sweetness in your system. No additional Dac is required for now. And you can play your system very loud without worrying for distortion. You will be rewarded with a big soundstage.
Bookshelf at the budget you have mentioned won't be able to provide the warmth a 15inch woofer can provide and the big sound stage.

Just to mention Gemini Sound AS-2115P is available from Amazon at 18500 each implying 37000 for the pair. Advantage is that you can return it with 7 days for a full refund.
