Hello friends,I'm getting a Marantz SR6007 or SR5007.Just wanted to ask u guys to suggest the best compatible speaker package (5.1)

1.Room size around 340Sqft
2.HT will be used for 50-50 music & video
After going through this forum and lot of reviews i narrowed down my pref of av rec to these two.Later may be for music i might get one amp,but not now.
3.I have a Samsung UN55C8000XFXZA as my led tv
4.in music i hear almost all genres specially rock, but i prefer overall sound clarity & bass
5.budget max 1lac for the speaker package.(floor standing, etc all types are welcome,i just need best compatibility)

Please mention dealers in mumbai/anywhere in india providing good overall price.

Thank you:yahoo:

welcome to the gang, i am doing a similar hunt.

You can look at Polk RTi Series, KEF T105, Klipsch Synergy Series, Wharfdale 10 Series.

Cool....but i think as much as i went through some forums, polk & klipsch wont go along marantz well....so need to really narrow down & get some precise advices about compatibility ;)

Choose d speakers first, match d amp to the speakers...

Not a specialist here, but i understand headphones very well, aka Sound signature and thats the way u should roll..

Speakers/headphones always come first, followed by source, next amplifiers..

well i think it is always your listening that matters, in this world of Dynamic EQ and Auddessey, and room accoustics, each speaker sounds a little different according to surroundings. Do not go with pre mediated thoughts about what you read, audition them all, narrow down the one you like, take your amp and listen to them.

A lot of people say Onky and Polk don't go well, i loved the way they sounded, i took my amp and auditioned them. I would have already bought them, but i want to Audition PSB, Monitor Studio and Magnat once before deciding.

So as some one posted in my thread, always listen to your ear and not what some one else liked or not.

instead of looking for a package, suggest you get a really good pair of fronts and its matching center. The surrounds can be a decent pair of speakers. Just dont compromise on the fronts. There are lots of really good speakers available which can be chosen for fronts.

I would suggest a pair of PSB B6's for front and B4/B5 for surrounds.

The sub would be the problem, getting a decent sub for a good price is not easy.

Thanks guys for those infos.....actually those specifications were for my friend's room and he is getting the av receiver from abroad. He can't manage speakers due to customs & cargo prob.
My room is quite big and need a different config,as i'm getting amp +speakers only for music. So we are planning for auditions together when he comes back with av rec.

Thanks again for suggestions

suggest to get speakers from there and avr from here. you wont need a stepdown that way. Avoid a stepdown whenever possible.

A pair of these would be a terrific buy. U can then get its matching center and a decent pair of surrounds would do.

For excellent sound that won't break the bank, the 5 Star Award Winning Wharfedale Diamond 12.1 Bookshelf Speakers is the one to consider!
