55 inch 4k TV in budget

Hello Members,

I am looking forward to buy a 55 inch 4k tv in budget of Rs. 60K. I have zeroed down few companies TV such as Vu, TCL, Haier, Sansui, Cloudwalker & Mitashi. But, the trouble is that there is no side by side comparison made between these TV. Also, i couldn't find these TVs in the retail showrooms so as to check the PQ & SQ. My requirements are as below:

1) 4k @ 30fps & 1080p @ 60 fps(mainly for movies)
2) upscaling feature (For DTH HD connections)
3) good customer care support
4) Smart TV not required; i have android box
5) HDMI 2.0 & USB 3.0

Please provide your valuable inputs.

I was looking forward to this TV. But, they have discontinued this model & they have downsize their customer support too. Not sure, whether they will be continuing with this model also.
Hence, I have given upon it & started looking for other company.

Of all the company you have selected you expect some support regarding customer care and after sales services from Vu, Tcl and sansui. I suggest you pick something from Vu or Tcl. Infocus 60 inch version is a good Tv but its full hd only and it's difficult to get.

By Customer Support, i meant support for installation purpose [if ordered online]. Because, the product has to be opened & fitted by the installation guys. Else, if we try to install & found the piece to be defective; then maybe they won't refund us or take the product back.
Will look into Vu or TCL TV.

Amazon and Flipkart use Jeeves for installation of Tv's. You don't have worry about installation, they do send them quickly. Yes it's better to wait for them to open the box and if they find it damaged they just report that themselves, so replacement or refund becomes a lot easier.
You won't get to see these models in shops for comparison but you will find tons of videos on youtube. TCL or Vu is recommended stay away from Leeco.

I feel TCL may be better. But none of these cheap ones have HDR or proven history. So you should probably be ready to digest a life span of 3 to 4 years only , I feel. No way to demo them, if you have friends who bought, go and watch to see if it suits you. Otherwise don't waste money and don't repent later.

I bought an intex 55 inch 4 k TV for 60.5 k four months back and am extremely happy with it,it's available in outlets for auditioning,Google for the nearest outlet.

Even i am ready to wait for it. There has been very great reviews about this model.
But, there has been no official announcement from their side when they will be releasing this model in India. Lets keep our fingers crossed.

You should be able to get Panasonic/ Philips (+/- 10%) for 50/ 55 inch HD TVs. Not sure whats the purpose of getting a 4K TV considering that 4K content is very rare. Better invest in a decent brand so that you may get some assured after sales service. LED TVs (or any electronics for that matter) are always a gamble (irrespective of the brand). So getting an assurance on after sales service and an extended warranty is always recommended.

I had read your last forum & was looking forward to this particular model. I even searched in various showrooms/outlets but i could not find it. That's why, i cancelled it from my list.

Actually, i was trying to be future ready. I thought that if i am buying a 55 inch TV; then it will be better if i buy 4k TV.

It is not about future ready,future is already here,all the 55 HD channels in sunhd are upscaled to 4k quality and if you see for yourself,you will believe it.
Increase the budget by 25k and buy an lg 49 incher 4k

I have a full HD LED Panasonic model and I'm quite happy with the quality.
How does it compare with LG and the likes?
