1. System 1.
JBL Control 1 main speakers with 50WPC Yamaha steReciever with sub RCA out, stereo config. Bedroom use, room size 1900 cu.ft. Need a small, fast punchy subwoofer, and dont need much power, 100WRMS will do. Please recommend something for movies/DVD/pop rock. Budget under 15K. Brown Wood finish only, small size only maybe 8" cone?

2. System 2.
5.1 config, Onkyo 875 reciever, B&W CDM 1 SE book shelf speakers front and B&W C6 center, Wharfedale bipolar surround speakers. The B&W have 6.5 inch mid-woofers, little output below about 80HZ. They are very articulate and reasonably fast sounding in this setup. Need a well controlled, tight subwoofer, able to deliver power at least down to 30HZ, and must work well with classical music as well as movies.. Also need reasonable amount of power, though not for parties, more for classical and rock music DVDs at somewhat high levels. Listening seat only about 10 feet from the screen though room size is more than twice that. Brown wood finish only, no size restriction.

I am not sure what to recommend for your 1st setup, but for the second I would suggest you look at Hsu, PSB, and if you can afford it a B&W sub.

Cheers
