If you read literature and have wondered why (other than some small references in Murakami's novels) why there isn't much audiophilia in it, boy! do I have recommendation for you.

I read it in two nights, a really fun book that I found in a bookstore (blogged about here) while sauntering in SOHO, NYC. It tiny, only a 150 pages, the first chapter is called KT88 and the last chapter 300B. And it's good literature that gives you a nice view of contemporary China.

The protagonist's quest is to build the ultimate sound system so he can sell it to buy a house and no longer be homeless. Kind of like "House for Mr Biswas" meets Hirayasu Kondo :)

Anyways a fun novel, especially thrilling that two of my favourite pastimes came together in one slim novel. Do take a gander if you are so inclined, seems to be available in Amazon India.

Not specifically on Hifi, but there are books on Vinyl. Two of them I read recently are
1. The Music Shop by Rachel Joyce https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/26854212-the-music-shop
2. High Fidelity by Nick Hornby https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/285092.High_Fidelity
Love the High Fidelity movie as well (& the soundtrack to it)... they also released a series last year, which unfortunately didn't get renewed for the next season. Haven't read the book, however now need to! :)
