Hi all,

I have gotten myself Onkyo RC360 (same as NR 609 minus THX cert) which can do two zones. I have gone for PSB B6 (zone 2) for music and am yet to decide on the HT setup(zone 1), but q acoustics cinema 2000 (minus sub) is the frontrunner.

Though stereo music usually doesnt need a sub, some genres of music need it. The HT setup most definitley needs one. I now have a problem of either buying 2 subs (my receiver anyway doesnt support preouts in zone 2 :( )which I definitely dont want to do for cost reasons or I attempt to do "sub sharing". Please note that both my "zones" are in the same room and only one zone will be active at any time. In short I want to use the same sub across both the zones. I have been trying to gather info on how I could do this and my reading leads me to this option.

I take the preout from zone1 of receiver and feed it as LFE input into the sub. That takes care of the HT. I take the speaker outs of zone 2 from the receiver into the speaker ins of the sub (high input) and take the speaker outs from the sub into the front speakers (PSB B6). Zone 1 has crossover settings taking effect from the receiver and Zone 2 has crossover settings taking effect from the sub itself.

I dont know how practical this actually is and would love to hear the suggestions and opinions to make my setup work.

Thanks,
Ajay
