Re: About HT pre pros - and what we miss here!

The Marantz AV7005 sells for $1,600 MRP in the USA and I have been eyeing it for quite some time to replace my old Rotel processor. Unfortunately, all the 230 volt versions available in Europe cost more than 25% whereas the same ones in the Middle East are competitive to the US price.
Now suddenly I see that at accessories4less.com, it is available for $950! Will you believe that? It is really tempeting but the problem is the 110 volt.
By the way, a few months back, I checked through hifivision and contacted a local dealer in Cochin as advised by Marantz distributor in Mumbai and the price they quoted was Rs 1+L.
Better buy outside, pay duties, still it works our cheaper!

I know the discussion is about av7005. But there is lot of rebadging happens in the consumer electronic industry.
