Advice on my combination

Hi,

I had auditioned for the following combination today and found it to be ok for music. I have got a quote of 47k for the following:

Amplifier: Denon 1611
Floorstanders: Polk Audio Tsi300

I am a newbie to the hometheater world and my references are 50% music+50% movies+normal TV watching+PS3+iPOD connectivity.

Right now I am not going for a center, sub-woofer or surrounds since I want to slowly upgrade later

My room size is around 12 feet by 12 feet.

Do review and let me know the feedback. Also do suggest if some other amp/speaker is better ?

Since your choice is 50% all better go for AVR only. But 12*12 room you can get a pair of good bookshelf speakers. FS will be lil big for that room...

You need a sub if you want to enjoy the gaming or movie experience. So get a pair of bookshelf speakers and a sub .. You can add centre and rear speakers later.
