AIRTEL migration from insat 4cr to ses 7

i am using Airtel HD. Wanted to add CBS Prime (139), Fox crime (141) and FX (142). called up HelpLine and they said they will have to launch a complaint to have my setup transfered to new sat and it will be done within 48hrs. They sent an engineer after 72hrs yesterday. He changed the sat to SES-7 but still could not receive new chznnels.Called up HL again. The call lasted 40mins (yes.... a whole 48mins) but they could not set the problem correct. I guess the call center guyd are ill informed and do not have much idea abt the same (they kept me on hold for almost 25mins to gather info). At last they said they will need 2 more days to correct the problem.
I used to have TataSky before for two year and a half and ADTV since last 10 months. When I compare the quality of services, Airtel would score 4.5 out of 10 while Tata is 9.5 out of 10. The half a poit i deduct is for a scope of improvement only, otherwise no hickups atall.

can't really tell abt the PQ as i used Tata with my 21inch SONY CRT and bought Airtel with my new 42inch Panasonic plasma. never tried Tata on the bigger panel which by the way is not full HD but 1080i. my stb is HD and gives true HD for NGC-HD and ESPN-HD (for CWC period only). no other channels right now in HD though will be added in new sattelite. you do get an HDMI cable in the box. they claim it provides 7.1 channel sound. there also an optical port as well as analogue ports for audio. for video, you also get component out too. haven't tested the multi channel audio yet as my current HT does not have an optical or co-axial port. one thing though, the 2 channel sound through HDMI heard on my telly speakers does not augure well and really demmands a good multi channel audio setup. thats why i am searching frantically for a good home theater in hifivision forums!

Today the service guys repositioned my antenna.. Any new channels to look for?? Otherwise the PQ hasn't improved my any margin.. New software installed, still no difference from old one.. Actually, nothing seem to have changed from the surface of it..
When I noticed Channel 198 listing Movies Now HD guide, I called up Airtel and asked for activation. They sent an engineer in less than 24 hours who realigned the dish to tune into a different satellite.
However, since the new channels are not yet listed on the Customer Service Portal, the CSR's could not immediately enable it for. But they logged a issue with their CS HQ who called me up next day and enabled the HD Chota pack.
Chota pack consists of Discovery HD and Movies now and NGC Hd @40/pm + taxes. Not sure if there is a HD mega pack.
I have still not tried to add the new channels such as Cbeebies, BBC entertainment, CBS Prime/Love, FX. Hoping these come free as part of South Mega pack

Free??? LOL!!! How do you expect them to give anything free? I have subscribed to the South Ultra Pack for a year and still I am paying extra for new channels which are being added
Why can't Airtel have a Mega Pack like in Tata Sky where you get all channels and any new ones which are added later?:sad:
Their technician did come and re-align the dish but am not seeing any new regional channels. I see only new English channels. I even subscribed to the HD Chota pack, but it still has not been activated.
