I have the 42 LED 8000 series Philips TV and no complaints at all. I love the ambilight feature which is a delight to watch specially when watching movies. Excellent picture clarity and in my opinion much better then Sony's and Samsung.

Although I have heard that in India Philips service is not good so just keep that in mind before purchasing.

would be a much better choice unless you have a really bright room.

Also if you extent your budget to a lakh then nothing like panasonic 50" V20
