Apple iTunes Store debuts in India, songs selling at Rs 7 - The Times of India

Hopefully we will get high quality legal indian music downloads.

Just bought the album "Asha Aur Khayyam" the packaging is good but the quality is all 256bit. The price is pretty steep too. Some tracks are as high as 12 bucks

Has Apple ever offered high quality downloads anywhere? I don't think so... all they offer is Max 320Kbps MP3 or sometime songs in their exclusive apple format.
Again, IMO there seems to be no difference between Apple iTunes and FlipKart downloads as both are offering MP3s only.
The only thing Apple can expect is... snatch revenue from sites like Flipkart or other streaming sites. Most will prefer downloading or streaming and Rest all will prefer buying CDs and other lossless media.

I for one, am very excited. The Apple TV actually works now, albeit with a very limited collection of movies, which will probably grow slowly.

Much more exciting is the Music - I could find almost everything I wanted, and while it's not as cheap as free, it's actually a lot cheaper than CD's. Have not checked the quality yet, but anyway, it's a good move in the right direction. And iTunes match is available too !

Is it a good idea to buy apple TV to wirelessly stream music ..

I am planning to setup Laptop>Apple TV> Denon AVR 1503> Speaker.

Please suggest.
