Hey guys.

So I need to buy a decent pair of speakers for my room. Budget limit is sub 20k. I can stretch a little if its worth it but would prefer something within that. Usage will be almost entirely movies, maybe some music. At some point I might get a console but thats some time away. My TV has Digital Audio out (Panasonic P42ST30) and the HTPC will have HDMI and 3.5mm out.

Currently I am looking at the -

Boston Acoustics SoundWare XS 2.1

Couple of questions, do I need a sub or an AVR along with that?

I can also get the Boston Acoustics A25 but I am guessing I would need a Sub or an AVR with that? Whats the cheapest one I could buy?

The audio system has to be 2 speakers or 2.1. Room is pretty big though. Any other ideas or options?

Boston Acoustics SoundWare XS 2.1 needs an avr or amp.

you should get Boston Acoustics Digital Cinema 2.1 AT 13K available at croma it has inbuilt amp. it got great reviews too.

Ah thanks.

Will look into it. Seems like the best bet.

I am guessing anything bookshelf with an AMP or a rec is out of my budget.
