So finally gobble is back in his form :lol:
And I was expecting some gyaan on supercaps.

Just remembered - these things are also used in
Solarbots etc.
Check on Lamington Rd with shops which have robotics stuff - for college
projects etc. You may need to ask for "Gold Cap".

Thanks quad. Just what I was searching for...an online service. Saves me the hassle and time of visiting lamington road just for one 50-60 rupees component.

No personal experience, but he has been around and posting on
various forums for a few years now. It's not too big an amount.

For such things, I prefer to go with cash deposit
into their bank account as you don't have to reveal other details like
credit card info.

Ordered one 0.1F/5.5V super cap from onlinetps.com
Cost Rs.71.25 + Rs 60 for courier.

Finally replaced the super cap with the 0.1F that I recevied.
Tuned and saved the FM presets and again switched it off.
Will now switch it on after a gap of 48 hours and see what happens.

Sorry for not reporting after promising.
Did not get enough time to check thouroughly.
Initial impression is that although it is better than the old capacitor, but still no dramatic improvement.
The memory now lasts for more than a day but not sure whether it will last for 2 days atleast.
