AV in Hong Kong

Hi All,

i would soon be embarking on a journey to Hong Kong. want suggestions as to what to buy from HK and where to buy.

i dont want speakers for sure. i have recently bought a yamaha amp so not sure if i should get another amp.

i dont mind a avr, since mine is 4 years old now. and may be a phono stage. the avr should have a pre amp out so that i can connect my amplifier to it directly.

any other stuff that i should have look out for then please do suggest.

can i request all for suggestions and support.

hi, Denzong, i don't know what to suggest i just joined this forum as well as became interested in serious Audio systems only around 15 days bk, but i picked up mine A/V Receiver from Hongkong on 30th December 2011, i bought Marantz 5006 Receiver from a place called Mongkok, Kowloon.

I will have to look up for the address but if u want i can give u that, have a good trip,

P.s. it gets a bit breezy in the evenings so carry a bit of warm clothes as temp goes around 14-15 deg Celsius.

Below are the list of stores in Hongkong and almost all of them are within a 1.5 km stretch in Central Hongkong..... Please go to Duddell Street in Central, HK as that has a building which houses almost 60% of all hifi brands dealers in HK...

Hey Denzong,
Did you finally buy the AVR from HK and which one?? I have my friend going to HK next week so was looking at buying the AVR from there.. Any good shops for Denon/Marantz and is it cheaper considering i need to pay 30% duties above 25K.
