Dear Gurus,

I am new to hifivision. I have observed that forum members here possess immense knowledge regading audio/video. I would also like to have the expert opinion of audio gurus in this forum regarding an av receiver / speaker setup. The points to be considered are:

1. Budget for the av receiver and speaker setup is 60k max.
2. The av receiver would be used primarily for music (say 80%) and movies (20%)
3. The setup is intended for a bedroom of approx 140 sq feet area.
4. Music preference is punjabi pop / bollywood / filmi etc.

I would like your expert feedback on the following

1. Which av receiver is recommended for this scenario
2. Initially I plan to have only the left / right speakers. The others will be added later on availabilty of more of vitamin M.
3. Are floorstanders recommended for such an area. If yes which ones?

Gurus - please advise.

Regards,

Percy

For your music choice I would suggest the following:

denon AVR 1611 for approx 30K and warfedale diamond 10.5 for 35k

If your choice is 80% music go for a good stereo amp with bookshelf speakers... AVR is not a good choice for 80% music listening..... 60k is decent budget for a Stereo amp and Bookshelf speakers... there are many threads in the amps / speakers section..

NAD + PSB is a good combo for that price.

Purchase the Audiolab 6000A Integrated Amplifier at a special offer price.
