Best Media Player to play MKV

I have used the WD TV for a while but it has an mkv problem and can't play many of the latest mkv files.

I am looking for a cheap media player to play mkvs over my 104" screen.

Please suggest. One which has updates would be preferable as I don't want my player to become outdated like WD TV.

2. I am using the WD TV Live Hub since the past 2 months and not faced any problem so far.

They have stopped updating WD TV ages ago. It needs a simple update but they won't do it. Shows the company in very bad light. There is a work around but it is pretty irritating, so I am looking for a new permanent solution.

So which would be the player you guys would suggest for playing mkvs flawlessly which also has updates?

i have been using Xtreamer for a long time and never faced an issue with firmware updates. They have always been there. Would recommend to try out the same as it is a good product.

I am using WD TV Live and it plays all the mkv format. I have updated the latest firmware. It is playing almost all the format with excellent picture quality.
