Bluetooth Remote - Any possibility to configure as Infrared?

I am working on some home automation and was able to configure all remotes (Except MiBox S) using Smarthome IR blaster with successful integration to Alexa.

I couldn't configure MiBox S Remote to IR blaster (Tried all possibilities, DIY, custom etc) but the signals are not detected at all. Later, after some googling this remote connects through BT and not IR.

Any alternate way to configure this remote to Alexa?

Mi box IR codes are well documented
In fact I had to resort to using MiBox codes for a Mi TV with a harmony hub IR blaster so i would think you should be able to make it work

If you cannot make it work via IR, you may need to resort to a python or node based scripting solution that works via IP control rather than IR

Can we connect USB IR Receiver to this device, so that I can use IR-based universal remote?
