Bluray player equivalent of Marantz CD6003?

Hi guys, what is the bluray player which is comparable to Marantz 6003 in the sound department?? How much extra does it cost? Is it wise to go to a future proof all disk player with same SQ rather than a dedicated CDP?

Please let me know the options and the cost and what is the route to go forward.

I do not have a REQUIREMENT for a BDP now. Just wondering if it makes sense to make the player furure proof.

Old Oppo-83 is good and you can get in the range of $300 / Or in Panasonic old BDP-80 is good, you can get in the second hand market and region free kit is available too. May be you can get for $100 + RFK

Check with "idlebrain" who has earlier used Pana-DMP-80 about performance.
