Looking for a bookshelf speaker with the most power handling around 15 to 20k. Bookshelf speakers only. Quality is not paramount. They need to play loud, not much distortion. For office use.

So the loudest speaker in this price bracket which can handle some amount of abuse

I bought the QAcoustics 2010i today - compact & superb for 15k.

Lot of other options in this range depends on your listening taste..

Wharfdale Diamond 10.1 is one I liked.
Boston Acoustics A26
Polk Audio Tsi200 is also in this range.. I think

You may need to concentrate on Sensitivity when looking for High power handling.
A 91db @60watts speaker will beat 85db @ 120 Watts easily

Moreover, if you like to own a stereo channel with 120 W per channel output it would be double the cost of owning a 50-60 watts amp.

So look out the sensitivity than Watts.. IMHO, giving the best at low watts and low cost are betterhyeah:

These speakers will be blasted to its death by the boys at the office on a game demo system hence looking for that extra capability to handle power without bottoming out.

check out for Full range speakers with huge Power handling also high sensitivity.Some professional speakers like Ahuja,John barrels i would recommend.

These are huge sounding within out big distorting and to bang with deep bass and Mid too.

Can somebody throw some light on this Brand - "John Barrel". How good or how bad are they...lately i saw a 5.1 system in complete wood finish with a 12 inch subwoofer. Could not audition though as the shop owner had just unloaded the consignment.
