Hello,
I have cleared a 10x8 room in my house to set up a budget HT system. I did the first part of buying a samsung 40' led tv and now would like to start putting in place the audio components.
I have searched quite a bit on the forums and have got me thinking along multiple lines.
1. Wharfedale 5.1 with 10.1 (groupbuy)
2. Q Acoustics 1010i or 2000 HT setup (dont know pricing)
3. Denon 1312xp (htstore)
4. Energy RC 5.1
5. And unfortunately many more bookshelves or satellite based setup.
My budget for speakers + receiver is 40K and would prefer to not stretch it. The usage is primarily movies and DTH content(80%) and some music(20%). I dont mind building the setup in stages, but still would like to restrict myself to the overall budget. I havent made my mind up on the receiver either, so any advice on matching receivers (dth content means upscaling should be good) would be great.
I had auditioned some of the above a couple of years back, but then dropped the plan. I would definitely audition them before buying, but would like some advice on what are the requirements of a smallish room for a non-audiophile.
Thanks for your time.
