Hi,

The audio system in my i10 is sounding like a "boombox" since some time. The bass has become too muddy and the doors also vibrate. I am not sure on how to resolve the issue. I have the stock music system which comes installed in the car.

Thanks for reading

Do you have a ported sub ?
if yes stuff the port to create an a periodic vent - or best change the enclosure to a selaed one ( the amp demands will increase though- however you will get tighter bass of the sub)

try bringing down the "gain" if you have an external amp

if you dont have a sub then you can do the following
check 'bass boost" in setting
bring it down to 0

Check Bass treble settings
bring the bass setting DOWN to a saner level

Lastly if the problem still persits
go to setting HPF ( high pas filter)
Us a cutoff of 80 Hz instead of 63

Hi Magma,

Thanks for replying. Actually Idont have a sub woofer. Just 4 speakers. The amplifier is not separate. The bass settings are actually negative. Sorry didn't get the point about hpf? What's that?

Thanks once again.

Regards,

@magma I think you ment LPF instead of HPF.

@amp pls check which door is making vibrating noise. Might be possible you got something installed in the doors and the speakers were not fitted well after that.

A beautiful, well-constructed speaker with class-leading soundstage, imaging and bass that is fast, deep, and precise.
