Trying to get a nice pair of cans with some good base.
Portable and has to be good looking, no ugly ones.

Shortlisted the following,

Audio Technica WS55 or WS77 - WS77 is bit expensive, but WS55 is ok.
Read Japan Import models might be better.
M50 - Best in the list but not good looking, too bulky.

Artist headphones.
Beats by Dr Dre (Monster) - Too expensive and does have bad reviews.
N Tune by 50 Cent (Monster) - Cheap, 2K under clearance might not be better than Beats.
Soul by Ludacris 150/300 - Only if it is cheap.

Monster DNA - One more monster headphone, my list is full of them.
Logitech UE 6000 - Bluetooth and good sound, but I think they leak.

Monster Inspiration, Bose QC 15, B&W, Klipsch are too expensive and they do not have good bass.

Finally zeroing in on Sennheiser HD 428.
Cheap cans, 1800rs.

Heard that bass is good, minimal sound leakage, noise isolating (not cancelling) but flimsy build quality.
Thinking of taking a chance on these.

I have sennheiser ear buds, but I just use them for gym and rarely on travel.
Earbuds are not very comfortable.

whats the budget ??

and keep monsters and dr dre away from ears ... the monster and dr is better away than close... same goes with soul n tune and other skull candy etc etc shiny flashy stuff..

Budget 5K.
I have access to US market too, so $100 max.

I like the shiny cool looking headphones. For portable use.

I placed order for Sennheiser HD 428 for $30 (Rs.1800)
and Soul Ludacris for $55 (Rs.3300).

Thinking of cancelling HD 428 before they ship sometime tomorrow.

Soul is built better, very good looking at low price.

Cancelled the Soul, will stick with HD 428.

By the way, Klipsch M40 is at $129.
Klipsch Noise Canceling for $129.99 + Free Shipping on 1Sale.com

This might not have good noise cancellation as Bose but it does look good. Some reviews said that the headband is too tight. But audio quality is better than Bose for sure. It has a 15mm tweeter as well as a 40mm driver.

I am gonna stick with HD 428 for now. I am not sure if M40 is worth 4 times the money fo my use.

M50, it has great reviews everywhere.
I can get even under $100, but I am not impressed with its looks.

It is not the first choice for a portable headphone for me.

it is portable it can be fodled though not too small but people dont buy M-50 for looks but audio quality..

honestly i find it quite a looker..

Sticking with Sennheiser HD 428 for now.
Ordered airplane adapter too.

I have read how people are modding the headphones. Guy at head fi has a thread on how to mod the HD 428. Wonder if modding the headphones is common.

Also came across a nice heaphone.

Logitech UE 6000
Deciding to buy it also.

Two headphones in one week. I am on a roll.
