Chromecast 2 Ideal Media Player?

Hi FM's

I have been using Chromecast 2 for my media playing through my PC to the TV for my HT system. Wanted to know the following:

1) Is this way correct to play Dolby BluRay Movies that I have?
2) Am I loosing out on quality of sound or video by doing this?
3) Sometimes I am unable to play some High Definition content as it stutters a lot. Not sure why? Maybe because of large file size?
4) What are the other ways I could play my media if not through the Chromecast 2?

For Chromecast, Plex Media Server is the best way.

Have it running on my NAS and everybody from the parents to wife are able to stream/cast from their mobiles. Very easy to setup and use.

PS: Personally, I'm a fan of madVR so my preferred choice is HTPC with a souped up GPU.

thanks.. i will try Plex media server.. but ill it help get rid of the at times buffering issue that I get with big media files to play thru chromecast?

Sounds like the buffering issues are due to insufficient WiFi bandwidth between Chromecast and the WiFi Router. Please see if re-positioning the WiFi Router or Chromecast device improves the situation.

Are you using 5GHz connection (11ac or 11n) or 2.4GHz (11b or 11g or 11n)?
Since signal strength doesn't directly translate to bandwidth, it is better to segregate closer devices (perhaps only Chromecast 2) into 5GHz and leave the rest in 2.4GHz.

2.4ghz.. don't have 5ghz router.. will it make a difference n solve the buffering issue?
