Tronsmart CX919 has full HD output? Did you check the resolution in Antutu bechmark?

Yes, with the 1024 kernel, it will output full HD.
There are also many custom ROMs available for this device which enables full HD.
I ran Antutu on the device and it ranked the player higher than my Galaxy S3.

Thanks for the review Sir!. My initial reading gave a similar feedback about Chromecast. what more can you expect from a $35 device!! I was thinking to buy on of these $35 device but then I did some deep dive research. Ended up with a Quad Core/ 2 GB/16GB/Mali400 Android TV Box called Minix Neo X7.

This is one of the best hardware and firmware support Android box avialable in the market. It recently got a custom build XBMC and now plays alost all 1080p videos flawlessly from streamed from my lowly Buffalo LSCHL NAS. It also plays 1080p from Youtube, Vimeo and has in built VPN to fool any location based blocking service like Netflix and Hulu. What is more, I successfully streamed 720p/24fps video from my laptop screen to the TV box using SplashTop App. no crashes.
HD Media players are contineously evolving from early Harddisk Based devices to XBox, PS, HTPC and these Android TV boxes. There is on $300 model which is already doing 4K resolution!!

Can we connect chromecast to AVR or it is compulsory to connect directly to TV it self..coz I have wall mounted TV with two HDMI inputs and both are occupied..one is connected to my HD settop box and other one with AVR out..It's not possible to disonnect HDMI cable now n then as the TV is wall mounted..I have received my chromecast before few days but yet to be tried out..

why wouldn't you connect your STB to AVR as well? It makes it easy to control everything from the AVR.

I suggest Android Box if you get Full HD android box as you can do much more than just streaming using android box.

Not that cleanly. You can either buy Plex (one of the supported apps) OR open media in Chrome and cast it(buggy as of now). However yesterday google opened up it to developers by releasing the SDK , so I am expecting someone or the other is going to release an app soon.
