Trying to understand the positives and negatives of channel separation. I believe crosstalk and channel separation is one and the same. Does it play a role in establishing good sound stage? Apart from DAC and Amp, anything else play part in channel separation? Does cables play a role there? I see that Stinger cables even advertise to provide 'true' channel separation. I wonder how?

Did some experiments today albeit in my car audio. My speakers are rated 100RMS and my amp 70W @ 12V. I removed the passive crossovers, and using the HU's band pass, setup the unit as active. That basically provided 140W to the speakers. My motive is to increase the dynamics which the speakers were struggling to provide. But it also helped a lot in improving channel separation. My HU's channel separation is 95db and my amp's channel separation is 65db. But, only when the speakers are fed with enough power, the benefits of those specs appeared.

I'll also be changing my speaker cables from unbranded ones to tchernov next week and see whether there are any further improvements.
