DD Direct Plus campatible box ??

Hello,

Our DD direct plus box has died...just want to whether i can use the DishTV box for watching DD direct plus channels ? . Dish tv box is lying idle and i want to use this for watching free channels .

It was possible about 3 to 4 years back. I believe all the DD D+ channels are available on Dish TV relayed from the original DD transponders at the same quality, however now you have to pay for a minimum subscription to keep the connection active to view those channels

Yeah, i know that.. that is why i wanted to use the box for DD direct plus !! BTW do you know anything about Dreambox and Openbox thing ??? What are they and can we use for our Indian DVB providers like Reliance, DishTV and others .....

You may know this already - DD compatible settop box are available very cheap, I think around Rs 600. I saw bunches of them at the Koti
electronics gully.
