Hello Friends.
I am a new entrant on this forum. I purchased Denon 1612 a year back and it was performing well. I have connected my BluRay & Tatasky HD to the same. But recently, I was getting a "no signal" message on my LG TV. If I bypass the Denon AV, things work. Initially I suspected the HDMI cable to be the suspect, but tried with another cable - the issue still persists.
So I called up my vendor to diagnose. He too couldn't diagnose the problem. We also tried the rest option but no luck. Finally my vendor decided to call up the Denon service and you wont believe, the Denon people are saying that the board needs to be replaced for just a minor problem of HDMI video out. And he has quoted Rs. 20K. No way ! a new Denon cost around 25K. Why should I pay 20K to replace the board, instead I can replace the AV player itself. So I asked him to go to chip level and see if he can fix it. But so sad to say we do not have experts who can fix at chip level. Every one is just looting money from customers! These guys are just up to earning money via spares.
I need help from you experts. If anybody has any expert Denon service personnel in Pune, please let me know. Or if anyone had faced this issue before please share your experience.
Thanks in advance,
Yogesh
