Hello,

I have a PS3 Slim, a DENON AVR 1613 and a SAMSUNG TV. I do not have speakers plugged to the DENON! :)

I'm watching most of the time movies with a headphone.

The PS3 is on bitstream, the DENON play thourgh the AVR, everything is fine, I have the sign on the DENON saying DTS or Dolby Digital.

When I want to listen the sound of the movie on the TV speakers, I say to the DENON to play through the TV, but I can't get any sound for a DTS tracks.

I can have sound for a Dolby Digital only.

The only way found was to turn the PS3 from bitstream to PCM. But the DENON won't indicate the audio format anymore, and the sound will be compressed.

Is there any way for me to have DTS sound directly on the TV, with the bitstream option?

I hope it's clear enough!

Thanks
Jeremie

Go to the PS3 setting menu... and scroll to Sound settings... choose the audio out you have connected (HDMI or Optical Out)... and make sure all the different encoded formats are selected to be passed through.

For excellent sound that won't break the bank, the 5 Star Award Winning Wharfedale Diamond 12.1 Bookshelf Speakers is the one to consider!
